AI-based food trends: inside UK consumer motivations for vegan fish (and food)

A couple of weeks ago, our friends at Tastewise – the AI-based food intelligence platform – told us what the UK really wants from plant-based fish, using their proprietary machine learning algorithms to harness billions of UK consumer data points across social media, as well as data from over 183,000 restaurants and delivery menus, and over 1.2 million online recipes.

One of the stand-out points from Tastewise was that “sustainability doesn’t appear to be a significant motivator for plant-based or vegan fish consumption for UK consumers”, based on the social media penetration.
