Crossing the Pond: US product launches vs AI-based UK consumer data

As a UK product developer, it’s always a good idea to have one eye on the US market. There are often similarities in terms of major trend trajectories and, depending on your category, the UK can be a good few years behind their cousins across the pond when it comes to widespread consumer interest.

That’s not to say everything launched over there will soon become a hit in the UK, which is why we’re utilising AI-based UK trend data from food intelligence platform Tastewise to test the waters with recently released US products.

Essentially, we’re looking at real-time UK consumer intelligence on the chosen ingredients and formats to see if there might be life for similar NPD this side of the pond.

This week, we’re looking at coconut-infused fish batter, almond-filled pretzels and grain-free cookies.
